Geoff Bennett is co-anchor and co-managing editor of the PBS NewsHour and a political contributor for NBC News.He has reported from the White House under three presidents, covered six presidential elections, and his exclusive interviews with Washington, D.C.’s most influential figures have grabbed national headlines. In 2024, Bennett was honored with a Peabody Award for the NewsHour’s coverage of the Israel-Hamas war.
He joined PBS in 2021 from NBC News, where he was a White House correspondent and frequent anchor for MSNBC. He was part of the NBC team that in 2022 won the Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence. Deeply committed to civic engagement, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, stewarding the nation’s largest living history museum.
