Emily Carwell
Emily Carwell serves as the Vice President of Global Engagement and Government Affairs at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. A lifelong sports fan, she is passionate about representing Team USA in her work with Congress, the Administration, and international partners.
She began her career in Amman, Jordan, where, in addition to her work in global health, she played and coached basketball, further deepening her appreciation for the power of sport to build relationships across cultures.
She has held senior leadership roles in Congress, including Chief of Staff, Staff Director, and Legislative Director for Senator Stabenow, as well as Policy Director for Whip Katherine Clark. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and a B.A. from Wheaton College.
