The Jerusalem Youth Chorus (JYC) is a music and dialogue program that brings together young Palestinians and Israelis from East and West Jerusalem to build understanding, connection, and leadership through the power of song. Far more than a choir, JYC is a youth movement for peace, justice, inclusion, and equality. Through co-creating music and sharing personal stories, participants engage in deep dialogue that transforms how they see themselves and each other.
Now in its 13th season, JYC has expanded to include more singers than ever before, meeting nine hours each week for musical training, voice lessons, dialogue sessions, and leadership development. Even in times of conflict, JYC continues to meet—its members’ commitment to one another and to their shared future only deepens. The chorus has shared its message globally on platforms such as America’s Got Talent, TED, and international stages, using harmony to inspire action toward a more just and inclusive world.
